Verdict

Note Pro solves the meeting problem software can’t: conversations that happen in a room, not on a call. Four microphones, up to 50 hours of battery and AI transcripts in 112+ languages make it easy to forget it’s there. Reviewers dislike the fiddly magnetic charging, and heavier use needs a subscription.

Many of your important conversations happen face to face, and you want transcripts and summaries without opening a laptop.

Skip it if

Your meetings are all on video calls — an app like Granola does that job without extra hardware.

Overview

Plaud’s official page lists four microphones that pick up voices from up to 16.4 feet away, up to 30 hours of recording in Enhance mode or 50 in Endurance mode, 64 GB of storage, a 0.95-inch AMOLED status display, and a 0.12-inch, 1.06 oz body. Transcripts cover 112+ languages, and the included Starter Plan has 300 transcription minutes a month.

It launched for preorder in August 2025 at $179 (TechCrunch) and now lists at $189 on Plaud’s US store. TechCrunch’s December 2025 review says it became part of the reviewer’s daily carry, with 55% battery left after 15 days of mixed use. Trusted Reviews (4/5) praises the design and transcription accuracy but notes background noise and subscription costs; Notebookcheck found the magnetic charging frustrating.

Worth knowing: Anker’s coin-sized soundcore Work ($159.99, up to 8 hours or 32 with its case, per Anker) is a newer wearable alternative, but it has only had launch coverage so far, so we haven’t scored it.
